Dermot (Paul Gleeson) is obsessed with Jupiter's impending visitor from outer space... Dermot's wife Stella (Sarah Chadwick) has visitors from the past...their daughter Tara (Kellie Clarke) has a visiting boyfriend (Leigh Scully) whose nickname may or may not be...'Needles.' Old friend Paul (Mark Owen-Taylor) wants to visit Stella...preferably after lights out. His wife Geraldine (Kate Raison) needs husband Paul to visit her...or there'll be a cosmic explosion of a different sort... As the comet crashes in a heap into the surface of Jupiter ...so does Dermot's world, along with his model of astrology, his car, and...his dog. Only Stella... 'Stella By Starlight' ...can save the day...(or night). Irish playwright, Bernard Farrell's very funny comedy tackles the universal nature of hopes, dreams and fears in this wry and compassionate look at family life. The play is set in the present, in Dermot and Stella's isolated farmhouse in Wicklow Hills, well beyond the outer suburbs of Dublin, Ireland. Director Andrew Doyle has assembled a distinguished cast which includes Sarah Chadwick as STELLA - (Sarah's credits include the films - The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, George Miller's Gross Misconduct and for TV: G.P.
