As for making a slection; you should not just use the magic wand tool and then Hue & Saturation in the menu, it's wrong, it also detroys the original. You need to add a Hue & Saturation adjustmnent layer instead and paint on its mask, that's the best way approach this, since it allows you to make easy changes at any time and allows you adjust the selection with filters, like for example a Gaussian blur. __________________________________________________
