This is probably the best anime opening theme that I've ever heard. I remember watching that compilation of mecha opening and ending animations and when this came up my jaw dropped. Apparently the anime itself is not all that good. I've yet to see a single episode though. So this is just speculation based on what I've read on the Internet.
