Description: On Dec. 10, 2007, Al Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with the vast majority of climate scientists publicizing global climate change. His acceptance speech is vitally important to the planet while Gore himself is being vilified by spokesmen for polluters. The same week as this speech, Bush Administration Climate Officials are obstructing efforts to develop cooperation to save the planet. Once again, short-term financial gain for the few is being placed ahead of the vital needs of humanity, e.g. to have a safe planet on which to live. How can this be anything but a climate crime? Impeach Bush and Cheney now! |

nidaros1112 ::: Favorites 2007-12-23 02:38:13 For people who don't understand why the Peace Prize was given to Gore, the IPCC and Pachauri view the video interview on NATO's website with Pachauri. Even NATO acknowledges that climate change leads to conflict and war! __________________________________________________
markvdpol ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 17:22:55 Oh, we should follow your lead and descend into name calling and pettiness... If we all had acted 15 years ago, when small changes would have been sufficient, then today Al Gore would not have needed to hurry around in the most time-efficient way to get his message heard. And we are still resisting acting on the scale required. Instead of contributing, you choose this. __________________________________________________
markvdpol ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 17:15:16 I think he'll do better outside the US government and be more effective as a World Statesman. As president, he would be too bound - look at the nonsense around Clinton and the trivial distractions he had to deal with pulling him away from doing his job. Because the vested interests will do anything to keep their interests going for the next quarter. The long term thinkers might consider next year. They would therefor pull Gore into their game. __________________________________________________
jschlei2 ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 09:54:39 I suggest you see "An Inconvenient Truth" and read "The Assualt on Reason". These provide great insight into global warming and the highjacking and corruption of our government. From watching and listening to Al Gore for many years, I believe he would make a great President if he would run for that office. Others will disagree but I hope they will do so after a fair investigation of the issues. __________________________________________________
jschlei2 ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 09:48:19 This is my video and it would be my right to block you if I chose to. However, I have not blocked you because I want the conversation to continue and I want you to learn more about Al Gore. __________________________________________________
Peekingduck ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 03:09:00 Wow posts are already getting blocked here... __________________________________________________
Peekingduck ::: Favorites 2007-12-17 03:07:49 I hope this man is all he says he is... Politicians are getting less and less trust. Let's hope they will earn their trust and respect and not only talk. __________________________________________________
1998disco72 ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 21:30:54 No, he is an IDIOT!! He only preaches "do as I say not as I do." __________________________________________________
1998disco72 ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 21:29:49 So we must follow his lead and fly on only chartered jets? You are an idiot. __________________________________________________
Icha74 ::: Favorites 2007-12-14 02:18:42 Thank you so much. He's such a visionary. I've been looking for the complete recording of Al Gore's speech in Bali last night (Dec 13), but I have not found it (the complete one). Can you tell me if you spot one? Thanks! __________________________________________________
ConsiderThis1 ::: Favorites 2007-12-13 19:43:49 "We often confuse the unprecedented with the improbable..." great observation. __________________________________________________
razzle1973 ::: Favorites 2007-12-13 19:20:40 EVERYONE needs to watch this speech. We must follow his lead and take action in our personal lives as well as politically... __________________________________________________
JeffreyHellman ::: Favorites 2007-12-13 15:38:40 I hope that Al Gore's acceptance speech will help both the United States and China's government rise above their differences for peace and humanity. __________________________________________________ |
